We’ve spoken about Paris before here at Materika but we thought we should another look at one of the most important and popular cities in the whole of Europe. We’re going to go off the beaten track and look at places which locals and tourists might not think about visiting or places or things to do which you might not even know about. We’re here you give you all the facts so let’s get down to it right now.
We know Paris is one of the most vibrant cities in the whole world. It might seem to the naked eye that the whole of the city has been discovered and that every last attraction, restaurant, bar and museum has been dissected and documented on whether its good, bad or a mixture of both. This is simply not true. There’s that guided tour you haven’t been on, the cobbled street you’ve not gone down and that wine you haven’t tried. Here’s the place to come to find out the arty exhibition that’s only in town for a few days, the cafe tucked away that nobody knows about and the bit of park where you can enjoy the sun without the crowds. Happy discovery.
Galerie Lumière des Roses
This venue is about the simple photographer capturing everyday life from the behind the lens of a camera. It could be you or me – that’s its attraction. You can be able to go somewhere and have the possibility of your everyday work being shown in a gallery like this.
If you’re looking for peace and quiet and a more intimate experience, then visit the Museum Zadkine in the city. The secret corner of Paris boasts a place where you can get a load of modern art in the one place. The museum was converted back in 1932. The place was revamped and re opened in late 2012.
When you’re in Paris, there’s a number of hotels near Paris city centre to stay in to sample these hidden gems and others. A serviced apartment option is our suggestion as you can live a Parisian while you’re in town which adds to the whole experience.
